Standard tools for knowledge-management exist in business and the non-profit sector. Some of the common ones revolve around the distinctions between tacit knowledge and explicit knowledge, internalization and externalization, socialization and combination. Without getting into too much technical vocabulary, we will explore the spiral of knowledge creation and how the different parts of the knowledge sharing literature may be made relevant for food security and rural enterprise development.
