Welcome to Karia-Net!
If you are somehow included in this message in error, please do not send a message to the group, but rather send an e-mail to KariaFacilitator@gmail.com and we will remove you from the list.
This discussion group is focused on Knowledge Management and brings together researchers from diverse communities and organizations to talk about programs and projects in this area. It is a place to exchange technical know-how and aspires to share knowledge across borders and between groups that aren't usually associated. It emphasizes how we can learn from each other at a distance and develop stronger rural development networks. We will be covering topics on: Knowledge Management Strategy, Knowledge Sharing and Practice as well as Tools and Methods. We will be entering into discussion over the next three weeks and prioritizing areas that are of interest to you as a member of this group! If you have another recommended topic related to Knowledge Management, please send it to the same address KariaFacilitator@gmail.com and we do our best to include it.
We are now beginning our discussion of the first topic which is identifying strategic trends in Knowledge Management with three very general questions:
1. Do you have a knowledge management strategy in your organization?
2. If yes, how does it work?
3. If you do not have a knowledge management strategy that is unique to your organization, do you know of others doing knowledge management? (This can be multiple organizations working together).
There is no right answer and so please remember that we are creating an open space and you will not be judged on anything. This is a public group, so all ideas are valid and we must respect the ideas of every individual, no matter what their background. This is part of the ground rules for the group as an inclusive space.
Please reply to our Google Group online chat conversation as soon as you are able.
Thanks for your efforts and for joining the conversation!
Best regards,
Christopher Yordy
